Controls, Automation, & Integration
SiS provides controls and automation design services that translate process intent into functional and maintainable industrial control systems. Specializing in Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI programming, control system documentation, and hardware integration that meet NFPA 70 Article 409 and UL 508A standards for Industrial Control Panels.
Capabilities include:
Control philosophy, logic narrative, and Cause & Effect matrix development
PLC and HMI programming (RSLogix 500, Connected Components Workbench (CCW), Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME, EBPro - Maple Systems)
Industrial control panel design and component specification per NFPA 70 Article 409 and UL 508A

Fabrication & Assembly Services
SiS partners with qualified sub-supplies and fabricators to deliver complete & factory tested process assemblies; ensuring seamless execution of design intent. All fabrication is performed under SiS technical oversight and adheres to industry codes and applicable standards.
Capabilities include:
Design and assembly of instrumented process skids and automated valve manifolds
Integration of piping, valves, and instrumentation into modular process systems
Fabrication of industrial control panels meeting NFPA 70 Article 409 and UL 508A requirements
Fabrication package preparation, including drawings, BOMs, and build documentation
Coordination with UL-certified and ASME-qualified fabrication partners
Electrical and pneumatic tubing layout for control skids and local panels
Quality review, build verification, and readiness documentation prior to FAT

Sheridan Industrial Systems (SiS) is a family-owned technical consulting, project support, and fabrication coordination firm focused on helping industrial clients execute projects, solve process challenges, and move systems from concept through startup.
Founded by Alex and Mandy Sheridan, SiS was established to bridge the gap between process design intent and practical field implementation. Too often, projects suffer from disconnects between engineering, procurement, fabrication, controls, and operations. Our goal is to help clients develop practical, maintainable, and automation-ready solutions that perform as intended in the field.
Our experience spans process systems, controls & automation, fabrication, commissioning, and troubleshooting across the RNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, ethanol, and NGL/LNG industries. We support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from process development and documentation through equipment procurement, fabrication oversight, startup, and operational support.
Unlike firms that stop at design, SiS brings hands-on experience designing, building, commissioning, and troubleshooting real-world industrial systems. This practical perspective helps ensure that documentation is clear, equipment is buildable, systems are maintainable, and projects move efficiently from concept to operation.
Led by Alex Sheridan, M.S., SiS draws on nearly two decades of experience in process systems, combustion technologies, instrumentation & controls, project execution, and industrial operations. His background includes technical leadership roles in engineering management, automation development, product development, fabrication oversight, commissioning, and field support.
